Reviews
The Spark Booster is an excellent tool whether left on to compliment your existing tone or to highlight solo sections or rhythm parts. The Bass and Treble knobs work harmoniously to cut and boost those frequencies without sounding woofy or harsh. (...) For a boost, it’s my new go-to. I just added it to one of my main pedal boards.

Clean or dirty boost, tonal shift or no tonal shift - there are so many ways to use the Spark to get your sound to the next level. Single knob boosters may offer simplicity, but the Spark Booster's versatility earns it a place on our board, and, we suspect, many others.

Playing with each control is very intuitive and really does give extra life and flavour to your tone. Whether you've picked up any of TC's other drive pedals or not, you'll be in fine company with the Spark Booster. Massage into rig to revitalize dull, lifeless tone.
Many boost type effects keep a simple circuit design with minimal control (usually just a gain knob) for easy, out-of-the-box use. That's all well and good—it suits many playing styles—but if you've found yourself needing a bit more control over that basic approach, the Spark Booster will expand your EQ-tweaking capabilities significantly. And with all those knobs within reach, you'll undoubtedly uncover uses that may find you replacing your old boost—and potentially a few other pedals in your chain as well.

Long sustained notes bloomed into beautifully musical feedback and the tone was nothing short of inspirational! It's very well made and is thoroughly inspiring to use and with the fantastic features it offers at such a good price, it's pretty hard to beat.

The real superstar though is the Mid setting. This mode gooses this crucial range by just enough to create a vocal, expressive lead sound. Tailor it further by using the Gain knob for more dirt or the Level to make your amp work for it, then sculpt the top and bottom with the Bass and Treble controls, and very soon you’ll find a stockpile of fat lead sounds from Satriani to Fripp. It really is a deceptively flexible tone machine, a veritable mothership of tone and gain.

Connecting it to a tube amp really brings out the feeling of “more.” It’s shallower than an overdrive, but really highlights the best in the guitar and the amp. With 26db of boost, it has plenty of sound, and the gain can add plenty of grit.

Spark Booster is one of those pedals that your tone has been longing for. It is that small trick that makes your good amp sound like a monstrously good amp. It is that small part that makes the whole difference. Once you’ve tried it out, you can’t really live without it…
In a quick recording session where the vibe of the moment is just as important as getting a great guitar sound, I found this pedal to be extremely useful. After tracking rhythm guitars we decided upon adding some noisy fuzzed out layers to the chorus of the song. I used the Spark Booster in front of a boutique fuzz pedal to push the fuzz pedal into a new sonic territory. The result was a smoother, less broken up fuzz that could have sustaining highs and lows that would usually be found with intense amounts of fuzz.

The real icing on the cake though is the active bass and treble controls. These really allow you to shape your tone perfectly when using the Spark Booster. They are subtle enough to not drastically alter your base tone, but rather sweeten what you already have. (...) Not only does it work fantastically as a boost pedal, it really excels at over-driving clean and dirty tones to perfection. The Spark Booster truly is the perfect pedal for every players arsenal, no matter what style of music you play.

I warmly recommend Spark. It breathes new life into even the most tired amp and with the extremely effective sound controls, it allows you to violently 'bend' and adjust the sound to your own taste. Top!

Spark Booster is fat and heavy. It improves your tone, your own sound, and that makes it attractive!
