I LOVE the Polytune. And I have the iPhone app also! I just aquired the Peavey Ampkit Link for using the iPhone as an amp simulator and it's great...but I realized that the Polytune works EVEN better when you're plugged into the Ampkit because you're plugged right into the Polytune (essentially), instead of just using the mic (which can succumb to ambient noise. Polytune...the greatest guitar accessory since the guitar strap!
