TC: Who inspired you over the years when you were creating your own personal guitar tone?

Keith: Peer pressure (laughs). Some buddies of mine played and they used to get together in the weekends and jam in the garage. Oddly enough, my first guitar idol was Chuck Berry because it was easy enough for me to simulate what he did.

TC: What are the main ingredients in your tone in terms of effects (e.g. chorus, flanger, delay, etc.)?

Keith: I have a couple of overdrives. One that barely does anything, it almost acts as a compressor for me, and then a delay and a tremolo, and that’s pretty much my basic standard board. I also have a phase pedal that I use occasionally, it comes on and off my board, depending on my need for it, and I have a fuzz pedal for certain things.

TC: Do you work on developing your tone continuously, or do you feel that you have found a fundamental tone that will last throughout your career?

Keith: I’m always searching, and I’m always looking, but I’m pretty contend. I adjust my settings for the whole tour and pedals don’t come on and off my board - unless I find something better(laughs).

TC: In your opinion, what is the single coolest thing about TonePrints?

Keith: I guess the fact that I can actually go into the pedal and adjust the pedal to sound the way I want it to. With this pedal you aren’t stuck with whatever it does from the factory. You can personalize it.
