A modern take on our renowned SCF chorus pedal and including a sweet Tri-Chorus setting, Corona Chorus combines a blast from the past with superbly shimmering sounds and features.

  • Two Chorus types
  • Tone tweakers paradise
  • Stereo ins- and out

Choose Your Chorus

Whether you go for the music-defining SCF setting or the ultra rich Tri-Chorus, you're always ensured expansive tonal options from glassy shimmers to mind-boggling swirls of sound. In fact, we'd buy two and have 'em both on at the same time to combine the SCF sounds with the rich Tri-Chorus tones.

Chorus, Don't Bore Us

Corona Chorus has a set of tonecontrols that allow you to craft a wide variety of chorus sounds -the Speed knob lets you dial in anything from slow 80's chorusing to fast leslie-like sounds, while the Depth knob sets how intense the sound is going to be.  The Tone knob allows you dial in the chorus exactly how you like it- from dark and vintage to pristine TC shimmer to a sound that really punches through the mix. Fun guaranteed!

Chorus Coolness Completed

Chorus is such a nice sound, it deserves maximum width. With stereo in- and outs, you are sure to achieve a warble as wide as your imagination.

True to Tone

You love tone, so do we, and our design philosophy testifies to that. So whatever route you wanna go, we got your back. With optimized headroom, True Bypass or Buffered Bypass switch and Kill-Dry on/off, this pedal guarantees optimal tonal integrity and zero loss of tone. And, no matter if the pedal is on or off your precious dry sound is always passed through the pedal unharmed in all it's pure analog glory due to an Analog-Dry-Through.

Backstage Pass - All Access

This is probably the most inviting, easy to use chorus pedal out there, but check out the controls for a bit more info.

Toggle Switch

Best and worst knob on the pedal. Best because it enables you to set it to one of two fantastic chorus sounds (SCF and Tri-Chorus) and worst because it is making you choose between the two - well, you can just play longer and jam to both! Also selects TonePrints for a world of signature effects!

Speed

Helps you set the speed of the effect, or how fast you want the sound to rotate - subtle swirls to spinning outta control!

FX Level

Sets the intensity of the effect, but you guessed that, right? From a calm pulse to an intense shimmer. Corona Chorus actually allows you to control how intense the effect will be, making subtle settings a breeze to dial in.

Depth

This sets the range of the modulation – subtle accents to world-warblin’ sounds, you’ll find it all here. Just know this knob works closely with the FX Level – have some fun and experiment!

Tone

The tone knob allows you to dial in the right ‘feel’ for the effect - the more clockwise equals ‘hi-fi’ glassy shimmer and clarity, while counter clockwise yields a darker, warmer old-school vibe.

Maximum You

TonePrint pedals offer both true- or buffered bypass. It simply means that no matter what your setup or situation, TC pedals give you optimal signal integrity so the 'you' in your playing shines through with unparalleled clarity and definition.

If you like clear-as-a-bell chorus sounds, the Corona won't disappoint but, for a different chorus flavour, the Tri Chorus offers a more complex sound that's denser and more static than the standard setting. Both sound good in normal use, but also offer plenty of scope for recording a big stereo sound using both outputs. And if it's subtlety you want, the FX level knob lets you add just a tickle of chorus to your dry sound.

The Corona delivers sweet, tactile chorusing reminiscent of sounds produced by the vintage Stereo Chorus + Pitch Modulator & Flanger. At speeds varying from the slow, ’80s-style chorusing we all know and love, to fast rotary speaker-like effects, the Corona is a quiet and vibey-sounding pedal that makes the chorusing sound completely integrated with whatever you’re playing, as opposed to sounding slathered on. The Tri-Chorus effects are particularly cool when going for a multi-dimensional guitar sound in stereo, as this is where you get the effect of three choruses running simultaneously (with slightly different settings on each), which creates the mesmerizing pitch-bend blur that made the original Tri-Stereo Chorus such a hit.

One of my personal “grail tones” is the Leslie/rotary speaker effect, and one of my favorite practitioners of the art of “B3 Bass” is Roscoe Beck. Naturally, I went straight for Roscoe’s “Sonic String Modulator” TonePrint for the Corona chorus. While I had tried to dial in something like this on my own, this tone was built with forces that were beyond my control. Having beamed the Toneprint into the pedal, I was hooked. The EQ, effect mix, speed, and depth were perfectly tuned to make my 6-string Ken Smith sound like Jimmy Smith. I’d buy this pedal just for that one sound. But the Corona also sounded great in more subtle applications, and there are several excellent artist TonePrints online.

Where some chorus pedals sound plasticky, the Corona is lush without having to really tweak it. Sure, it’s not cheap, but the Tri-Chorus and TonePrint settings are worth it.

Engaging the TriChorus mode adds two more independent choruses to the signal and thickens things up greatly, allowing for some truly huge sounds. Even at extremes of the controls things remained very quiet indeed with no loss of tone.

It sounds great, and if you want to just add some body to your sound a la Guns N Roses era Duff McKagan then you can easily achieve this, just dial in as much of the effect as you want using the FX knob. Of course by tweaking the speed and depth you can also get some wonderful sounds for ballad playing, where those longer notes can sing out. The tri-chorus setting is incredibly lush, with three separate chorus effects working in unison. It’s a doddle to get that traditional singing chorus effect, which will really lift some solo playing.

TC deserves full marks for once again pushing the boundaries of what is possible with today's technology inside a small stand-alone effect pedal.

Corona Chorus provides an organic and fat sound that you would never have believed could come from a digital pedal, and the TonePrint concept is the icing on the cake!
