Effect Types
You can load and swap effect types on the BG250/BH250 via USB or the TonePrint App for smartphones. Once you load an effect of your choice to the amp, you can use the white TonePrint knob to adjust the wet/dry balance - more or less effect so to speak.
Octaver
You will find that our Sub'n'Up Octaver is one of the most flexible octavers you'll ever come across. It can take you up an octave, or down an octave, keep it clean, or add some dirt. And it tracks like no other octaver you have ever tried - all the way down to the low B-string!
Chorus
The Chorus effect is based on our legendary Stereo Chorus Flanger - aka SCF - that set new standards for chorus greatness decades ago and is still going strong. Now, it has been tailored with painstaking attention to detail for one specific purpose: Bass!
SpectraComp
SpectraComp is the same multi-band compressor that you'll find in the Blacksmith. In essence, you get a 'compressor per string' that is not fooled by the impact of the lower strings only, which is a known problem when using single-band compressors for bass.
Flanger
The BH250 Flanger effect builds on our Vortex Flanger pedal that has amazed and inspired bass players all over the world ever since its release in 2010.
Bass Drive
Bass Drive will give you the same convincing tube-like character that the TubeTone feature of e.g. RH750 and the Blacksmith is so famous for. On top af that, it can also get downright dirty and add drive, distortion or fuzz for more heavy duties.
Vibrato
The Vibrato effect is similar to our Vibrato Shaker pedal. It may not be the most common effect for bass players, but many have found it great for experimenting with new styles and creative ideas.

Artists Using BH250
Reviews
Tc Electronic's BH250 bass amp looks good, sounds great, packs a big punch and comes with several useful features, while the TonePrint technology serves as the icing on the cake. At just £235, I honestly had to check the price (twice) that this is indeed the correct price for this unit. The BH250 is equally at home in the studio and at both small and medium-sized venues, and for many bassists, this amp will leave nothing to be desired. With this in mind, i will be very surprised if the BH250 doesn't become a huge hit with bass players all around the world.
The BH250 is a solid, great-sounding, nicely featured head that you can toss in the front pocket of your gig bag. It is powerful enough for many – though admittedly not all – gigging situations, and it offers an intelligent set of features. While this is reason enough to love the BH250 (or BG250), the TonePrint feature greatly expands the tones and abilities offered by this micro marvel. Considering all that it offers, you’d expect that this unit would cost a pretty penny, but for some strange reason, the kind folks at TC Electronic are practically giving these away.

Both the combo and separate head are brilliant - straight out of the box a nice celan tone, but with the addition of the effect blocks via TubeDrive and TonePrint, they are amongst the most flexible on the market today - easy on the bank balance and easy on the back too.

BH250 does everything very well, and offers settings for virtually every sound imaginable. Stage, home or studio, BH250 is up for anything. BH250 should have no problems shining amongst other compact bass amps - it's amazing what this little box has to offer!
The TonePrint feature is excellent. It's not a toy, but very usable, practical and well executed. TC stays true to it's roots as innovators. Overall, with a price point of just under 300 Euros, this amp is simply unbeatable!
You can do pretty much anything you need with it, and the nice thing with the size of this is that you can throw it in your gigbag and take it anywhere. (Video review)

A mature bass head, with many possibilities, excellent tone and great performance, but still so small, light and compact you can easily bring it everywhere.
The highlight of the brand-new Class D BH250 is certainly the TonePrint feature. The ability to load any effect from a selection of currently six types into an amp is unique and allows for countless sound options beyond the standard variations - and without having to invest in additional equipment. (...) To me, it's completely convincing. Anyone who is looking for a super portable Bass Head for practice, rehearsal and club gigs should grab the TC BH250 while it is still fresh.

It takes no time at all to dial in a great full tone. For a small amp it kicks out an impressive amount of volume, easily enough for most gigs. And if the venue calls for more, ‘d-i’ it.

This is an attractive piece of gear that is competitive as well as innovative. No wonder it draws a lot of attention. (Full review in French)
