Steve Lawson is a man of many talents including playing the bass guitar excellent and looping just the same. Also, he is full of passion for music, not just his own, but all music and musicians.
Lawson is a British solo bassist and looper yet he is so much more. He writes, teaches and is extremely enthusiastic on online media platforms. He interacts with fans and other musicians mostly on Twitter or on his own website. He uses the online sphere to promote his own career as well as other independent musical acts.
Here is a man with more energy than many to be able to create such vibrant music while teaching, writing blog post and interacting online with fans. WOW!
With 10 solo albums and 10 collaborating albums Lawson has had time to experiment a lot, which is one of the things he enjoys very much. He experiments with music to create sounds that are meaningful to him. His albums feature the live looping of multiple layers of both traditional and unusual bass generated sounds.
