About Ronni Vindahl
Ronni Vindahl is an award-winning and Grammy Awards-nominated producer, remixer, musician and all around cool character, noted for his awesome work on tracks by MØ, Avicii and Kendrick Lamar.
Ronni Vindahl made his first international appearance came in 2008 when legendary dj and label owner, Gilles Peterson, released Boom Clap Bachelors' 'Combiner', a track co-written, produced and performed by Vindahl.
Peterson, known as an early adopter of acts such as neo soul queen Erykah Badu, British jungle renegade Roni Size and alt-jazzers Jamiroquai, then put the track in heavy rotation on his weekly BBC1 radio show, exposing the Danish producer to the world.
This sparked a lot of global interest in his work, and from there Vindahl's career took off, as he went on to work extensively with artists such as breakaway electro-pop act MØ, producing and co-writing her sweet, eclectic storm on the pop-sphere, as well as touring with her as live guitarist.
With releases out on legendary minor labels such as Tokyo Dawn, Chess Club and Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment as well as majors like Sony and RCA Victor, Vindahl has since then been responsible for some of the most intriguing funk and soul-pop tracks to hit the airwaves post millenium.
And you can easily tell a Vindahl treated track or record from the rest. Tell-tale signs are his multi-layered grooves and the perfectly chiseled beats, which always carry a strong hiphop or Prince-esque vibe even if the musical context is something completely unrelated.
It's just got that Ronni silk. Always!
Alongside his hired gun studio work, Vindahl is currently working on developing a roster of artists for his newly founded label.
