About Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu
Riginald 'Fieldy' Arvizu plays a mean bass in KoRn. His percussive style on the bass inspired by hiphop music fronts the metal phenomenon with one-of-a-kind bass lines. In total a crazy dude that rocks hard.
Reginald Arvizu better known as 'Fieldy Snuts' (feel these nuts) was born on November 2nd, 1969. His father played in a band so Fieldy was born into music. He got his first bass guitar from his father at the age of 5 beginning his life as a rock star.
Before skyrocketing to the top of the charts with KoRn, Fieldy played in many bands with high-school friend and KoRn-member Brian Welch. Then Fieldy co-founded the band L.A.P.D (Love and Peace, Dude, later Laughing at People Dying) with KoRn-member James Shaffer and Richard Morill. David Silveria (former KoRn-member) was added on drums. The band released one studio album, but did not reach the success they all craved. And so KoRn was created. The band swooped to the top of the charts and fronted the nu metal phenomenon.
Fieldy became a rock star and acted likewise. In 2009 he changed his ways and revealed his story in his memoir 'Got the life: My journey of addiction, faith, recovery and KoRn. A tale of how he became religious, quit drugs and found the better part of himself.
Besides kicking ass in KoRn, Fieldy has a side project he calls 'Fieldy's dreams'. It is a rap/hiphop project where he has released the album 'Rock'n Roll Gangster'. When he takes a break from music he manages KoRn's merchandise by designing t-shirts, hats and stickers. The remaining KoRn members make the decision on whether or not Fieldy's designs are going to the stores. Fieldy shows his work and they either approve or disapprove the designs.
