About Jay D. Weaver
Jay D. Weaver is one hard-working bass player who has performed with famous recording artists like Tanya Tucker, Hank Thompson, Raul Malo, Jim Lauderdale, Randy Kohrs and George Ducas. Currently (2011), he is playing with legendary country artist, Dolly Parton.
Jay started his musical career in the local school band, where he played the horns. But by the age of 15, he picked up the bass and has never put it down since. Jay studied music at North Iowa and the University of Iowa and in 1993, he moved to Nashville. He quickly picked up gigs and the rest is history.
Jay uses our bass gear to create his prefect sound on stage and he says:
I use the amp on stage with electric and upright bass. Other players can't believe how much sound comes out of a tiny amp! Makes load in a breeze.'
